Expert birth debriefs when you need clear, honest answers

Independent 1:1 Birth Debrief

Clear, honest answers about your birth & maternity care — from a former Head of Midwifery.

Your birth does not need to be traumatic to stay with you.

Sometimes what lingers is not one obvious event, but the unanswered questions: decisions you did not fully understand, conversations that felt unclear, moments that keep replaying, or a sense that something about your care still does not sit right.

A birth debrief can help you make sense of what happened.

At Little Light Support, I offer independent, clinically informed birth debriefs for anyone who wants clearer answers about their pregnancy, birth or postnatal care.

You may feel upset, confused, disappointed, angry, unsettled, or simply aware that there are gaps in your understanding.

You do not need a diagnosis.
You do not need to call your birth traumatic.
You do not need to justify why it still matters.

You are allowed to want clarity you can trust.

FIND OUT IF A DEBRIEF IS RIGHT FOR ME

What is a birth debrief?

A birth debrief is a chance to understand what happened during your pregnancy, birth or postnatal care — with someone independent, clinically experienced and able to explain the detail clearly.

At Little Light Support, this is more than a reflective conversation. I help you make sense of the decisions, timelines, communication, interventions and moments that may still feel confusing or unresolved.

Where maternity notes are available, we can use them to look more closely at what was documented and how your care unfolded. If you do not have your notes yet, that is not a barrier. We can still begin with your experience and your questions, and I can guide you on how to request your records if that would be helpful.

A birth debrief can help you understand:

  • what happened and why

  • what your maternity notes mean

  • why certain decisions or recommendations may have been made

  • what was documented, and what still feels unclear

  • whether your questions have been fully answered

  • what support, advocacy or next steps may be helpful

You do not need to have all the paperwork before you reach out. If something about your birth or maternity care still does not sit right, that is enough reason to ask for clarity.
